Did you know that your local Chalfont Fire Company is staffed by volunteers that are trained to professional standards? They operate two stations, Station 34 and Station 74. Every month they review and/or update their training at least two Thursdays a month, often more. Visitors that want to know more are more than welcome to stop by on Thursday evenings after 7pm. Call us and leave a message or just come on over.
We just added a rescue watercraft to our response equipment. W are currently training our members to handle its use in our water areas such as Lake Galena. We did this to reduce the response time for any water rescues that we may get. The nearest trained team is 45 minutes or more away and we wanted to better serve those who may need our help.
Our members are also members of the local community including: Chalfont Boro, New Britain Boro, and New Britain Township. We also support Doylestown, Warrington, Hilltown and Montgomery Township through mutual aid. We do this because fires demand lots of manpower to quickly stop, control and extinguish. Firefighters become exhausted quickly in extreme heat and cold so we rely on other companies just as much as they rely on us to help out whenever emergency strikes.
