How to Join

The Chalfont Fire Company is a group of dedicated individuals always looking for a way to help the community. We are always looking for new members to join. The only restriction is that you must be at least 16 years old when you join. You can join as a Junior Firefighter, a Firefighter, Fire Police officer, Contributing or Administrative member, or as a member of the Auxiliary.

• Junior Firefighters are members that wish to join as a firefighter, but are between the ages of 16 and 18. They are not allowed to be placed into dangerous situations, but are still a valuable tool on the fire ground and can assist with operations around the fire ground.
• Firefighters are just that. They are the members going into burning buildings and answering the calls when they come in.
• Contributing or administrative members are people that wish to help with the administrative side of the fire company and wish to contribute, but don’t necessarily want to go running into a burning building. These members are also very valuable during fundraising and community events.
• The  Auxiliary is a group of dedicated people that help the fire company with fundraising and provide food at major calls and special events.
